A Course in Miracles Experiment (by Pam Grout) Day 31

What i see is a direct result of what’s happening in my head.

Our brains filter out an astonishing amount of input, in order to make sense of our surroundings.

When we change the filter, and get rid of that old, gunked up one, more and different experiences can slide in.

Ever heard of someone you know as “wearing rose-colored glasses” ?

It’s a metaphor for a person who always finds something good, something positive, no matter the situation.

And people who use that expression usually aren’t making a compliment.

But what the hell is wrong with refusing to give attention to the negative?  Giving attention to bad behavior in your kids (or your dog) just encourages them to continue, without finding out why.

Step away.

Change the filter.

Clean the lenses on your rose-colored glasses, and prepare yourself for miracles.

Three times today, spend a few minutes reminding yourself that your beliefs are a choice.  You CAN choose to change them.  And when you do, your world will change.
