Connecting people, pets, and nature, through mindfulness!
“Everything I see is a reflection of my thoughts.”
If your head is full of thoughts like “My boss is a jerk”, that lady next to me is a pain in the butt” , or “People in general are rude and hateful”, that’s exactly what you’ll ALWAYS experience.
Your brain will helpfully filter out anything that doesn’t fit that paradigm.
But you DO have choice and you CAN control your thoughts. Unless and until you make that choice, and take the time and energy needed to change focus, you’ll be stuck in that unloving experience.
Everybody says they want to do better and be better, but very few people are willing to actually make an effort toward that end.
It’s just like making a commitment to exercise, though. Every day, you get the choice. Every day, you decide. Every day, you either take action, or you don’t.
So, today, start taking action. Write on your calendar this evening what you did today to shift your experience toward the positive, the miraculous, the “dancing in the rain” reality that’s just waiting for your acknowledgement.
And if you’re at a loss where to start, here’s one idea. Get a glass marker, and write on your bathroom mirror. Try a phrase that really resonates for you.
“I Love You” is a great start. “You’re Amazing!” may work for you. Or how about “Life is Fabulous!” .
Then pull up on your playlist the inimitable “Celebrate” by Kool and the Gang.
Be safe and well, and have a blessed day today!
