Connecting people, pets, and nature, through mindfulness!
You and I make our own laws.
We envision the chains that bind us into the spot we live in, and then we shackle ourselves into that reality.
Alternatively, we can free ourselves, just by creating that freedom in our own minds.
When we open ourselves up to the possibility of freedom, we invite that reality to come into our experience.
When I was a kid, I used to dream that I could fly. Not in an airplane or helicopter, but actually fly. Like I had wings of my own. And let me tell you, when I woke up, I felt like I was still soaring through the sky. Those were always the best days ever! No matter what happened around me, I could still feel the wind in my hair, the near weightlessness of gliding on a breeze. Nothing bad could touch me on those days.
It’s been way too many years since I had a flying dream, but the sensation remains. It’s the feeling that everything is right in the world, that all things will work toward a positive end, and that I would find answers to all the questions I could ever ask.
Have you read Jonathan Livingston Seagull? It’s by Richard Bach, and its the story of a seagull who is trying to be more than just another gull. Check it out. See if it resonates with you.
And have an extraordinary day today!
