Here in the USA, we like to brag about how free we are. We like to congratulate ourselves on living in a “free” country. And I am just as proud of that as anyone here.
But how free are we really? Do we act like free, proud, decisive, thoughtful, responsible people?
If you watch the news at all, you gotta wonder.
True personal freedom is something we each have to remember that we DO have. We ARE free to not “fit in” to someone else’s idea of what constitutes “right” or “proper” .
But how much of that freedom do we actually exercise?
And are we teaching our kids to choose what’s right for them?
Whose ideas do we respect and emulate?
Do those persons encourage blind obedience to their goals and ideas? Or do they ask you to simply act in a way that brings you peace? There’s a big difference between acting responsibly and following orders!
Encourage your brain to disengage, and listen to your heart.
Your brain filters out information, trying to bring order to the massive input from your senses. Your heart simply experiences.
Follow your heart today.
Drop judgement, discard prejudice, pick up and spread encouragement and support.
Love your neighbor. Love yourself. It’s the best way to make the world a better place, for everyone.
Have a blessed day today!
